This weekend I went to a concert and decided to wear one of my favorite classic combinations: Black & White. This time I added a studded bag, chunky bracelets, and a statement necklace to make it look a little more edgy. Overall it felt very rock & roll.

Running late?

I am an extremely deep sleeper, sometimes I don’t even hear the alarm clock! That’s why I love jumpsuits. No matter how late I wake up, I just pair it with a blazer & heels and I’m ready to go!

Rainy Days

One of the best things about rainy days? Trenchcoats! I particularly love this one because its perfect to use it by day or by night. This weekend I paired it with leather shorts and a long sleeved tee for a fun girls night out.

My Mom’s Pants

You should have seen my face when my mother gave me this trousers. I thought she was totally crazy, I said to her that those were definitely NOT my style. So she said to me that if I didn’t liked them, she would keep them. I was fine with it until one day I saw her with those trousers and a black blouse. It looked awesome! So from now on, I will always trust your fashion sense mom!

No se imaginan la cara que puse cuando mi mama me regalo estos pantalones. Pensé que estaba completamente loca, le dije que ese definitivamente no era mi estilo. Asi que ella se los quedó, y un dia, para mi sorpresa, se los vi puestos con una blusa negra. ¡Se veía espectacular! Asi que desde ahora prometo confiar en tu gusto mama!

Hello, Fall!

So, it is time for me to accept that fall is here & that summer is over. Even though it is always hard to go back to real life, for me it’s always helpful to prepare outfits I love & feel comfortable in.

Este es el momento para aceptar que el otoño llego y se terminó el verano. Claro que aunque siempre es difícil regresar a la rutina, ayuda mucho preparar outfits que te encanten y te hagan sentir cómoda.

Little Black Dress – Beach Edition

I have always struggled to find something pretty & comfortable to wear as a bikini cover up, most of the time I opted for comfortable and ended up looking…not very stylish. Last summer I found this breezy, casual and pretty little black dress on an Old Navy sale. Now its my go to piece everytime I go to the beach. The perfect accessories? A piña colada and a good book!

Siempre me ha sido dificil encontrar algo cómodo y lindo para usar arriba del bikini. Casi siemre optaba por cosas cómodas, pero no me veía tan… bien. El verano pasado encontré este ligero vestidito negro en las rebajas de Old Navy. Se ha convertido en mi mejor amigo para la playa. ¿Cuales son los accesorios perfectos? ¡Una piña colada y un buen libro!

Hidden Garden

Living in Mexico City, it is not always easy to get lost in nature. So whenever I have the chance to go to a place like this, I just love to walk around and enjoy the scenery. The vibrant green & brown colors inspired me to wear a bright pink tank top, white gipiura skirt, and golden sandals,  perfect for exploring around this hidden garden.

En la Ciudad de México no siempre es fácil entrar en contacto con la  naturaleza. Así que siempre que tengo la suerte me encanta caminar y disfrutar el paisaje. Los colores  vibrantes del ambiente me inspiraron a usar una tank top rosa brillante, una falda de gipiura blanca y sandalias doradas, perfectas para explorar éste jardín escondido.

About two months ago if someone had asked me if I liked pajama style trousers I would have said NO! In my first post I wanted to share with you why I decided to start Life is a Party. Last year I was living in Paris, and one Monday morning as I walked to school I saw a woman dressed very cool & stylish. My first thought was “Wow, she looks amazing but I don’t think I would waste such a good outfit on a Monday morning!” later that day I saw this quote:

“Don’t save things for a special occasion, everyday of your life is a special occasion.” – Thomas S. Monson

That got me thinking, why should “dressing up” be reserved for “special occasions” only?

So with Life is a Party I want to keep myself and everyone who reads this inspired to dress & feel your best every day.

Bienvenidos a Life is a Party!

En mi primer post quería compartir con ustedes porque decidí empezar este blog. El año pasado vivía en París, y un lunes en la mañana estaba caminando a la escuela cuando vi a una señora vestida increíble. Lo primero que pensé fue “¡Wow, se ve muy bien, pero no creo que yo usaría un outfit tan impresionante en un lunes por la mañana!” Ese día por la tarde vi esta frase:

“No guardes cosas para ocasiones especiales, cada día de tu vida es una ocasión especial.” – Thomas S. Monson.

Pensé que tenía toda la razón, ¿Por qué el vestirse bien tendría que estar reservado para ocasiones especiales?

Por eso, con Life is a Party quiero inspirarme a mi misma y a todos los que leen este blog para vestirnos y sentirnos bien todos los días.
